Angela studied Drawing & Painting at Glasgow School of Art from 1991-95 and lives in Glasgow.
In the years following graduation she worked mostly outside of the art world but in the last few years has tried to devote more time to painting and has shown work in galleries around Scotland.
Angela works in oil paint and her principal interests are colour and texture. Using flowers as her subject matter, she builds up and removes many layers of paint and drawing over a period of time to create pieces that have their own sense of history. A vibrant use of colour maintains a sense of freshness and vitality to result in a final piece of work that captures something of the beauty and transience of the subject.
