Caroline grew up in the Orkney Isles, studied History of Art at Aberdeen University, and then in need of some fresh air spent seven years doing archaelogical and conservation fieldwork on mainland Scotland, Shetland and the Hebrides before returning to Orkney and beginning to paint in 1994.

Since then she has exhibited extensively through Scotland, and in London and is a prizewinner and regular exhibitor at the RGI.

Lemon tinged clouds in a soaring porcelain sky, building seas, the roaring luminous surf at dusk, spring flowers, the brilliant greens of early summer and beautiful mackerel never lose their power and keep me reaching for my brushes.

Caroline lives and works in Argyll.
