Mark Hailey
Trained Loughborough College of Art and Design.
Mark makes hand built or slip cast ceramics that range from small soap dishes to large figurative peices, his work is immeadiately identifiable because of his wonderful sense of form and colour, acid greens and yellows contrast with vibrant purples and reds.
Mark is constantly updating his collections with new patterns and unusual shapes but they always retain a classical yet contempoary feel which you are drawn to.He also creates wonderful figures-acrobats, jesters and yogis that twist, turn and balance in extreme poses and yet look at ease. We generally have some of Mark's work in the gallery throughout the year.
