Adam Kerr

Style Guide: Still Life & Figurative

Trained Duncun of Jordanstone 1998-2001.

We saw Adam's degree show and were bowled over by his technical ability and also maturity of his work, he sold his first painting with us five months later and has been a fixture with the gallery ever since.

He has an obvious talent for photo realism but more interesting is often a slight surreal placement of items in his still lives or the narrative surrounding his figurative work.

His palette, like the food he often paints is edible, candy pinks and banana yellow fuse with cherry reds and rich chocolate browns resulting in contemporary vibrant pieces. Adam has also built up quite a following for his portrait work, we usually have some of Adam's work in stock throughout the year.
