Chris admires artists who use paint and that is apparent as soon as you see Chris's work, the language he uses is concerned with contrast,contrast of colour, tone, texture, weight and of light.
There is also the contrast inherant in the way that the paintings are made, the slow layering of the surfaces, the fast and fluid gesture. This gives his work an unusual depth and striking immeadiacy.
We usually have Chris's work at least once a year, he exhibits widly in the U.K. and is in many private collections.
