Trained Glasgow school of art 1983-87
Laura has a wonderful sense of colour, rich reds and purples contrasting with aquamarine and gold which she uses to dramatic effect in her Tuscan landscapes and still lives.
Her stays in Italy have added a sense of drama, texture and a strong graphic feel to her work, her images are at once arresting and yet comfortable.
Her use of paint is confident yet subtle, sometimes smooth other times textured but always with sure strokes that are stylish an assured.Laura exhibits in a main show every year.
