Travelling the remote northern coastlines of Scotland and more recently the panoramic, rugged lands of Orkney, drives Rosanne to capture dramatic seas, ever-changing skies, busy harbours and secluded bays.
Rosanne paints instinctively; the canvas becomes the palette and each painting an experiment. Using large brushes she swiftly creates an emotive sense of movement and colour in sea, sky and land.
“bold brushed landscapes, deftly mixing realism, impressionism, and a dash of the Colourists. Always inspired by Scotland’s landscapes”. [The Herald ]
