Heloise Maylin
Trained Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art.
Heloise creates unique sculptures inspired by her observations of man's relationship with nature and by nature itself, looking at native animals and birds Heloise tries to capture their essence through individually hand-sculpted pieces, from her naive, quirky birds to her wonderful contemplative bronzes.
She uses a variety of materials from wood-pulp, paper, powdered stone, resin and paint and the layering of these create the rich colour and texture in her work. We usually exhibit Heloise's work a couple of times a year.
