Dorinda Johnson
Trained Glasgow School of Art.
Since moving to Tiree Dorinda has concentrated on paint and clay, depicting the magical quality of her surroundings, the islands, the people, the sea, the sky. She works mainly in oils and acrylic and is interested in the ever changing elements of the island environment.Her ceramic sculptures are often of people in baots or in relationship to the world or each other.They are made in high fired clay often with brightly coloured oxides and glazes or stoneware glaazed with lustres.
