I graduated from the Fine Art Photography course at the Glasgow School of Art in the year 2001 before moving to live on the beautiful island of Guernsey in the Channel Islands. After 14 years spent living on Guernsey I have now returned to live in Glasgow and I now spend most of my time working between Scotland and London.
Several years ago I decided to dedicate a lot of time to creating art work within the landscape in an attempt to capture the island of Guernsey in my own unique style. My initial project focused on creating a series of ‘light paintings’ using very long exposures captured at night time – a series of work that continually grows to this day. Now that I am living back in Scotland I cannot wait to begin creating a new body of landscape and light painting work so watch this space…
I am also a very keen macro photographer – have you met the ‘Little People’ yet? These tiny little figurines fascinate me and as you can probably see, I have a huge amount of fun setting up new tasks for them to busy themselves with.
My work has received some very welcome attention over the past few years and this has led to me becoming involved in some great projects. I have recently worked with organisations such as: SONY, BBDO Group, Oi, Thomsons, Entertainment Weekly and Qualcomm to mention a few. My work has been used both in a fine art context as well as in the commercial space.
